Learn Hebrew

I am very happy to be introducing my effective and enjoyable Hebrew lessons in Vancouver. I'm a native Israeli who moved to Canada in 1964, and I speak fluent Hebrew, English and Spanish.

 

My studies in Canada led to graduation from the Jewish Teachers Seminary and a Masters Degree in Education.

 

Living in Ottawa for 35 years, I was involved mainly in training Canadian diplomats posted to the Canadian embassy in Tel Aviv, as well as teaching Hebrew in the University of Ottawa and Carleton University through the modern languages faculty and faculty of religion.

 

Throughout the years I have been teaching private lessons to a variety of individuals and groups interested in touring the state of Israel. Classes and private lessons are also available to Bar Mitzvah boys and Bat Mitzvah girls as well as biblical Hebrew and/or the prayer book for any age group.

 

Lessons are offered in my private home, or any location convenient to the student.

 

Hebrew Classes

 

BEGINNERS CLASSES – At this level, students will be introduced to the Hebrew alphabet, basic vocabulary and grammar. Some elementary liturgical and modern vocabulary will be introduced. We will use a text book to practice reading and familiarize the students with the basic reading skills.

 

ADVANCED CLASSES – Continue expanding from Beginners Classes, developing conversational Hebrew, verbs and tenses.

Private lessons are also available to enthusiastic students.
